My skew is 1-1/2" which jig do you recommend I use?  What degree of angle?  The multi-jig requires a 2-1/2" length and there is no mention of sharpening a skew on the short tool jig.

Thanks

Jeff Farris

Change the SVS-50 Multi-Jig to the vee-block clamp.  It can handle shorter skews accurately.  It takes a bit more fiddling around for alignment, but will work just fine.  See page 95 of Edition 7.1 of the Owner's Handbook for a brief mention of this in reference to carving skews.  The long extension is not necessary, and you may have interference with the stone, but by staying to the side it should not cause too many problems.
