I am seeking am instruction video for using this jig for working on convex blades. Ken Schroeder advises that Rick Kruger is no longer making his jig.
I ordered from a maker in Germany, who proceeded to send it with ZERO instructions, Any suggestions or guidance welcome.
Thanks to all hands,
Garrett

He has a video on it (it's in German but has English subtitles)...

Basically it just lets you pivot the knife so it stays in the same place on the wheel.  The collar that comes with the Tormek doesn't allow this.  Here's the first concept that shows the idea...

This only works well in the rare case that the radius of the convex part of the edge is equal to the set distance (projection) of the jig.

True... it's where using a line on the wheel and then adjusting where you clamp the blade, and also adjust the projection distance to stay close to the line as you maneuver the blade, comes into play.

Or switch to freehand.... ;)

Or tilt the knife.

Even that requires paying attention to where the blade is clamped, and on knives with a lot of belly or curve to the tip, won't work.

Which I'm sure you already know... ???
