Haven't done a poll in while...  :o

So, what's your most common method(s) for setting the angle for sharpening a knife?

Two options only?  ;D

1. Calculator for angle setting.
2. Sharpie method for grinded angle finding and for checking.
3. AngleMaster for centering the knive in the jig.

Haha yeah... figured most would use 2.

Good plan of attack. 👍👍

Please change my pick from Kenjig to Dutchman's tables. They have always been the basis of the Kenjig.

How everyone hones their knives would be interesting as well; both process and angle setting.

Sharpen the knife blade
Hone edge until perfection
Cut with joy and ease

I'm just getting started.

After study, I've decided to use three methods.
-Sharpie
-Angle finder
-Software

Ill be getting into paper wheels for honing and will go with software for that as well.

Homemade jigs. The one on the left is adjustable for the SB-wheel. The one on the right is non-adjustable for the leatherwheel and is set at 18°@139mm.
