Very true, stressing the "not as much" by a large margin.  I still think it is from steel shavings from the grinding process.  It was not stated if it seemed to have come from "within" the washer (the stainless had rusted slightly) or superficial and easily rubbed off (as in steel shavings).

Quality is like buying oats.  If you want nice, clean, fresh oats, you must pay a fair price. However, if you can be satisfied with oats that have already been through the horse, that comes at a lower price.
