To add to Rich's reply:

The water trough on the T8 is held in place by magnets. It is released by pivoting the bottom away from the frame. It is a good design. With a turkey baster, it is a better design.

I find that puzzling.  I have a T-8 and the only magnet is on the scraper.
The water bin is held in place by 2 tabs that come out of the frame and is raised
or lowered by a knob.  Was there a change made to later models T-8's ?

I checked when this came up once before... I could find no evidence of any magnets holding the water trough.  It just sorta "snaps" into place... perhaps giving the impression there's a magnet?

Tim,

I stand corrected. My water trough has a decisive click when engaged against the housing. I assumed the hold was magnetic. That does not seem to be the case. I still consider it a good design, even without a magnet.
