17 degree or less knife angles

Having some trouble with knife jig touching stone on 15% knife blades or less- i max out the knife jig knob and the us bar, but have problems 50% of the time.  should i revert to with the blade vs against the blade?  Am i missing something here?

When using the SVM-45 this is a common problem with small, or just narrow, knife blades.  There's a new jig available (SVM-00 http://tormek.com/international/en/grinding-jigs/svm-00-small-knife-holder/) as well as several homemade jigs designed to overcome this problem.

My favorite is the one I made.
