Changing Stones

If one is changing between the different grindstones (standard stone to the japanese stone for example) is it necessary to re-true the grindstone after switching them since the alignment has changed? Working on a new T7 (purchased Oct 2011)

I wouldn't think you'd have to true it up again. I removed my stone after truing it and I'm sure I didn't put it back in the exact same position and it was fine when I checked for that very thing.
