Except for very largsflat planes on turning tool cutting surfaces what is the effect of the very minimal hollw ground surface of the Tormek versus the flat ground surface of the Verits MKII or the LAP-Sharp flat plattens?

The hollow ground surface gives a more positive feel when cutting with the tool bevel down.  Any subsequent honing, either on the leather strop or on bench stones, is easier on a hollow ground bevel.  The slight hollow left by a TORMEK is inconsequential when considering edge strength.
